Dr. Dennis Davidson
Cheif, Neonatal Medicine
Schneider Children's Hospital

Hi Ed,

Yesterday, we hosted our visiting professor who gave two lectures and provided an active round table discussion with our fellow trainees. This Fourth Annual Tender Loving Care Foundation Lectureship was well attended by divisions closely allied with neonatology as well (specifically Pediatric Cardiology and Piediatric Intensive Care).

This grant from the TLC Foundation is very important to us and greatly appreciated. The lectureship helps keep the neonatal division right up on cutting edge techniques and studies. In particular, this lectureship may have helped launch the academic career of one of the new young neonatologist we plan to hire. The lectureship also provides us with networking to other institutions that specialize in certain aspects of neonatal care.

FYI, the visiting professors also learn from us as well. In particular this professor learned of our unique high frequency/nitric oxide transport isolette and the major quality improvement method we have adopted called TeamSTEPPS.

On behalf of the entire Neonatal Division (North and South Campuses), please express my sincere thanks to the TLC members for an enjoyable day.

Dennis Davidson
