The Third Annual Family Fun Day The Tender Loving Care Foundation's third annual Family Fun Day was held September 17th 2005 at North Shore Day Camp in beautiful Glen Cove. Once again we were blessed with picture perfect weather, despite the nearby presence of hurricane Ophelia. More than 450 people attended, and kids ranged in age from 5 months to 16 years. Present were NICU staffers, NICU graduates, and lots of friends and family. More than $15,000 was raised, a portion of which will be used to help the smallest victims of Hurricane Katrina. Special thanks to North Shore Day Camp and their wonderful staff for helping to make this event such a success. We'd also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Send In The Clowns for their generosity and assistance with the rides and attractions. Metrosnacks was instrumental in keeping people hydrated and satisfied with beverages and snacks, and KAOS provided the gift bags and contents, along with Woodbuy Magazine. Lastly, thanks to our raffle donors/sponsors: Regent Sporting Goods and FadToys.com). Also thanks to the more than 30 volunteers who donated their time. Without their help we couldn't have done it.
