TeamTLC was started by the TLC's president, Cary Levy. The first event was a 100 mile bike ride to Montauk in 2003. In August of 2004, Showky Kaldawy, a good friend of the TLC's participated in an half Iron Man competition in New Hamphire - his first one.

Since then, several events have been held, raising thousands for the TLC Foundation as well as awareness.
