Takin' It Back to the Crib

Event Recap

On Tuesday, March 20th, The Tender Loving Care Foundation held its annual Winter Gala. This year’s event was titled “Takin’ It Back To The Crib” and was hosted by Joyce and Richard Calcasola of Maximus Spa Salon in Carle Place. The event honored Simon Miller, president of Simon Elliot Events Inc., and co-founder of Onyx Print Studio, both in Plainview. Food was arranged by Bagel Boss Caterers of Roslyn and the wine and signature “NICUtini” cocktails were donated by Martin Scott Wines. Approximately 175 guests partied the night away to the sounds of 80′s and 90′s dance music mixed by veteran DJ Jim Brennan, which tied in to the event’s title.

In attendance were friends and family members of parents whose children were treated in the NICUs at the North Shore-LIJ Health Care System’s Steven & Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York in New Hyde Park and Manhasset (and in some cases, both). We were also pleased to have numerous NICU nurses, doctors, and support staff attend.
